Momo the Dog needs a home
Momo just arrived in Tampa!
Momo is a goofball. With this dog there are no strangers, just friends he hasn't met yet. He is playful and friendly with everyone. He is a bull in a china shop and does not realize how big and strong he is. Unfortunately he will knock a small child over with his over excitement so would be best in a home with children over 12. He just wants to play and cuddle. He is not a high endurance dog, 20 min of play in the back yard and he is worn out for 2 days, oh, and he doesn't like to start his day before noon. He likes to sleep in. Mo is a counter surfer and a food stealer. He acts as though he is sooooooo deprived and never gets a meal....he will swipe ANY food right off your plate and counter. Mo is the typical stubborn bulldog, he needs someone that knows what bulldogs are all about. Some one advanced in handling this breed. He is very food motivated therefore training is easy for him. He was wild and untamed when adopted from the shelter 2 years ago. He will need follow through and continuance of training and he will be an amazing dog for someone. He does not like plastic bottles or brooms, these seem to be a trigger items for him as he is very fearful of them. I believe it is possible the owner that surrendered him to the shelter may have abused him with these items. he is a great dog who deserves a home with great humans who understand him. He has lived with 4 other dogs (3 labs and a 5 lb poodle) and a cat (siamese) and gets along just fine with everyone. He will try and chase the cat every now and then but she turns around and slaps him and he cries and runs away because his feelings got hurt. He truly is an amazing dog.
